Alfie Davis wins CIMAC British Title and Super League Grand Champion
Alfie Davis from Enfield ECKA has done it again. This time Alfie successfully defended his WAKO British title and won a British Title Belt for his efforts. Alfie won the belt at the Cimac Super League fight night in Maidenhead on November the 21st 2009. The fight, a rematch with the guy that he beat in the final of the British Championships back in February 09, was good one. The bout took place on an elevated platform in front of a capacity crowd at the Magnet Leisure Centre and both fighters demonstrated their talent landing many decent punches and kicks throughout the match. Although his opponent is a very good fighter, Alfie's strength, determination and will to win was to much for him on the night. Alfie continually impressed the judges with his fighting skills, and was able to string together and land numerous combinations of punches and kicks often ending with his trade mark jump spinning hook kick to win by unanimous decision. Check out the fight on YouTube. Along with his British Title belt, Alfie also won the award of Super League Grand Champion. Alfie fights in the under 79kg senior men light contact division and has won the most competitions and acquired the most points over the 10 match series, proving again that he is one of the best fighters in the country. Alfie, from Enfield ECKA is also a European Silver medallist, and he has now set his sights on the WAKO World Championships in September next year. He will be training even harder than ever to win that World Crown. |
